YouTube algorithm update – safety strategies for content creators

09/07/2025Rise Editorial

Recently, YouTube has launched large-scale content audits and updated its algorithm to improve platform quality. These changes have directly impacted monetization and visibility of many channels. Channels violating community guidelines, using reused or AI-generated content without proper editing, or exhibiting abnormal growth may face monetization resets or significant drops in views.

To adapt and grow safely during this sensitive phase, our company has implemented the following strategic measures:

1. Comprehensive content audit across all channels

We are thoroughly reviewing all content, especially older videos, AI-assisted content, or videos using third-party visuals without clear licenses.

2. Prioritizing original and high-quality content

All channels are shifting focus toward producing exclusive content – including original music, personal vlogs, animation, podcasts, and motion graphics – fully compliant with YouTube’s policies.

3. Enhancing viewer experience & increasing watch time

The new algorithm favors videos with longer viewer retention and higher repeat watch rates. We’re investing in building series-based content with engaging openings and meaningful conclusions.

4. Categorizing channels by risk level

Group A: Clean, original content → Prioritized for growth.

Group B: Moderate risk → Increased supervision.

Group C: High risk or affected channels → Paused and reviewed thoroughly before resuming.

5. Advancing music channels via OAC & digital distribution

For music-based channels, we are developing them into Official Artist Channels (OAC) while distributing tracks across platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music to expand recognition and revenue beyond YouTube.

We believe that while changes present challenges, they also bring opportunities. With the right strategy, a dedicated creative team, and strong execution, content creators can thrive and grow sustainably on YouTube.
